The UK Ministry of Defense has just awarded a contract for deployment of these Prox Dynamics PD-100 Personal Reconnaissance System nano-UAVs for deployment to Afghanistan. Each of these little helicopters weights only 15 grams, has GPS, is remote controlled and has a live-feed video camera. Soldiers will fly them into buildings to gather intel before kicking the door down and going inside. Future versions will have night vision. I want one. http://kitup.militar |
